Community-based organizations continue to face challenges with the implementation and expansion of its programs and services, and getting ways to diversify their development funds continually remains a priority. Today sponsored programs grants remain the "Save Life" nonprofit organizations that provide HIV prevention, care and treatment for HIV. As such, organizational leaders must continually hone their writing skills to remain competitive proposals, maintaining sustainability and succeed. This 2-day training, which focuses on writing proposals, is the ideal HIV Program Directors, Executive Directors, HIV Service Coordinators and key personnel equipment proposal writing opportunity to improve their skills. Participants of this training will explore in depth topics such as research funding announcements and funding opportunities available to delineate components of a grant proposal, developing logic models, develop program budgets, preparing an evaluation plan and how to compile and present the proposal.

Training Objectives:  At the end of the participants training will be able to;

Understand and identify the basic structure and key elements of a proposal,

discuss strategies for a write effective proposals,
Develop a plan to conceptualize write, review and evaluate grant application.
Learn how to develop and write SMART goals and objectives,
Develop an appropriate narrative and budget justification.
