Eligible participants receive food vouchers and/or financial assistance toward utility bills to prevent shut-off, and emergency rental assistance. An assessment is conducted and the caseworker guides the participant through the employment options that are most beneficial. Participants receive referrals to companies who have informed PROCEED of job openings, training facilities, and/or assistance in resume writing and development. Citizenship services for legal immigrants, recipients of SSI and food stamps,including application, processing, and English classes. These services are available only to residents of Union County, New Jersey.
