The unit accomplishes its goals and objectives via the following five programs:


Low-to-moderate income residents from Union County, NJ are provided with a full range of outpatient services. Program professionals provide individual, family and group substance abuse counseling. In addition, program staff conduct educational workshops for the community on the effects of alcohol and substance abuse as well as HIV prevention.


Adolescents-age 13 to 19-receive tutoring, school advocacy, individual, family and group counseling. Further, youth participate in recreational and educational activities and workshops.


The Municipal Alliance program is geared towards raising community awareness in the areas of child abuse and neglect, substance abuse, domestic violence and parenting. Program staff provide educational workshops to community-based agencies, schools and churches.


Program staff provide intensive in-home interventions to families referred by the Division of Youth and Family Services. Case management, advocacy and individual and family counseling services are provided to clients. The program's objectives are to preserve the integrity of the family unit and to reunite children with their families.


Low-income residents of Union County, NJ are eligible to receive individual, family and group counseling to help prevent child abuse and neglect. Case management and advocacy are provided for families. Parenting skills workshops are offered.
