The National Center for Training, Support, and Technical Assistance (NCTSTA) at PROCEED, Inc. is a leading provider of capacity building assistance to health and human service organizations and professionals throughout the United States and its territories.
Established in 2000, NCTSTA has delivered client-centered training and technical assistance in the areas of organizational infrastructure development, program development, and evidence-based practice using a program delivery model grounded in organizational development theory, behavior change science, cultural competency standards, and best practices in the field which have been harnessed through outcomes–based work.
Our portfolio of training, technical assistance, and capacity development services has reached more than 500 organizations and approximately 1,200 unduplicated health and human services providers from fields such as HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, substance abuse prevention and treatment, gambling prevention, youth development and empowerment, reproductive health, and violence and gang prevention services. This has been accomplished through collaborative partnerships with entities such as the US Department of Health & Human Services: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Minority Health (OMH), Administration for Children & Families (ACF); the NJ Office of Faith-Based Initiatives (OFBI); the NJ Division of Addiction Services (DAS); Prudential Foundation; and the NJ Department of Community Affairs.
We view capacity building as an active, participatory, results-oriented process that engages individuals and organizations in activities that ultimately lead to a stronger, more effective workforce and to more efficient and sustainable organizations and communities.
Because of PROCEED’s role both as a direct service provider and as a provider of training and technical assistance through NCTSTA, we have first-hand knowledge and insight as to the organizational, programmatic, and system-oriented factors that impact organizational functioning and program efficacy. Therefore, we can diagnose, design, and deliver capacity building assistance based on our lived experience as community health providers and organizational and program development practitioners.
PROCEED, Inc. remains committed to expanding the work and srevices of NCTSTA and continue to respond to the evolving needs of individuals and organizations as they seek to improve the well-being of their communities.
Through research, innovation, and practice NCTSTA will provide organizations with the competencies and tools to enhance, maximize, and sustain their organizational infrastructure and programs.
NCTSTA aims to develop into a globally recognized provider of cutting-edge organizational development and training services that are responsive to the needs of our national and international constituents, including non-governmental organizations, governmental organizations, academic institutions, and the private sector.
